Top 5 Wednesday is a Booktube group which makes book related top five lists. I’m not very regular with my Youtube videos so I’ll post them here instead when I can.
For more info on the group looks here on the Goodreads page:
This week is ‘Book Covers You’d Live In’. A nice twist on the worlds we’d like to love in or pretty covers:
5) The Book of Shade by K.C. Finn:
The only photograph style cover. I just like the mystical/ theatrical feel to it.
4) The Life of Elves by Muriel Barbery:
I love the bridge. Not actually a big fan of the book though.
3) City of Circles by Jess Richards:
Ok, I don’t actually know what this is about, haven’t read it, it just came through the post today but I love this cover. It’s got a nice mystical and circus feel to it.
2) The Secret Lore of London by John Matthews:
Not sure if this counts as it’s based on my home city and is non-fiction but who cares. Love all the details in the gold, it makes London feel more interesting than it already is.
1) The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern:
In case you haven’t noticed I like the circus / theatrical look mixed in with magic.
